The tour is designed around the ripe-rice season (late September – mid-October), leaving time for sunrise and sunset photography and for experiencing H'Mong daily life. It can be adapted for the flooding season (May – June).

Itinerary

3 days

  1. Day01

    06:30 depart, lunch in Nghia Lo. In the afternoon cross Khau Pha Pass to Mu Cang Chai and watch sunset over the terraces. Dinner and overnight.

  2. Day02

    05:30 sunrise and sea of clouds. Breakfast, visit a H'Mong village and make sticky rice cakes. Photograph the terraces at Che Cu Nha and De Xu Phinh in the afternoon.

  3. Day03

    Visit Mam Xoi Hill and the Tu Le Valley, eat bamboo-tube rice. Drive back to Hanoi, arriving around 19:30.
